Helpful answers
Before you order.
Practical guidance for digital envelopes.
Digital or offset: which should I choose?
Digital printing suits logos and light ink coverage on already-formed envelopes. Offset printing happens before folding, making it the choice for full-coverage artwork.
What do the printed-side codes mean?
4/0 prints the front. 4/4 prints the front and back flaps. 0/4 prints only the back flaps; it does not print inside the envelope.
Can my design reach the edges?
Choose offset printing for edge-to-edge backgrounds or more than 40% ink coverage. Keep digital artwork within the template’s safe area.
How should I design around a window?
Use the window-specific layout. Leave the entire window clear of ink and keep images at least ⅛″ from its edge.
Does every envelope have security tint?
No. Select the security-tint stock where available. That option has an interior privacy pattern; it is not included with every paper.
